Create Drawing Set

Create a new eSUB Drawing Set (DS) for the current Project.

New

Displays that this is a new Drawing Set.

Copy From

Select an existing Drawing Set that you wish to duplicate in order to use as a basis for a new Drawing Set.  Some fields and/or functions may not be duplicated including (but not limited to) the original document's date, attachments, and emails.

Drawing Set Prefix

Enter the prefix of the Drawing Set.

Starting Sheet Number

Enter the sheet number of the Drawing Set.

Ending Sheet Number

Enter the ending sheet number of the Drawing Set.  Use this field only if you wish to enter a sequence of Drawing Sheets instead of entering them individually.  The sequence will start with the value entered for Starting Sheet Number (above) and end with the value in this field.  Leave this field blank if you are entering a single Drawing Sheet.

Seq / Area

Enter the sequence or area of the Drawing Set.

To

Select the contact (see Project Contacts) to which the Drawing Set is to be sent.  Only active Contacts appear as a selection.

From

Select your Company's project contact (see Project Contacts) which the Drawing Set is from.  Only active Contacts appear as a selection.

Signature

Select the signature to apply to the Drawing Set.  If a manual signature line is preferred select "signed by hand".  Only those signatures for whom the User has been granted access are available for selection.

Description

Enter a description of the Drawing Set.

Out For Approval

Enter the date the Drawing Set is sent out for approval.

Returned From Approval

Enter the date the Drawing Set is returned from approval.

Issued To Shop

Enter the date the Drawing Set is issued to shop.

Issued To Field

Enter the date the Drawing Set is issued to field.

Issue Link

Select any issue to which this Drawing Set should be linked.

Click the Save Data button to accept the entered data and file the Drawing Set in your eSUB database.

Notes

  • Once a Drawing Set has been entered it will appear on the Drawing Set Log from which it may be edited, emailed, viewed, etc.
